Holy shit.

A Tale of Two Sisters is a South Korean folktale of sorts… although I can’t say much about the plot because… well, I haven’t finished it yet. Besides, I have no idea what’s going on as it is.

Well, whatever is going on, it’s f**king scary. I’ll definitely finish it tomorrow.

Has anybody else seen this movie? I’m at the scene where Su-mi finds the bag, so I’d appreciate it if anybody who has seen it refrains from spoiling it.

I saw it about four or so years ago.  It was pretty good.  Its reputation will be sullied by the upcoming remake.

I love this film.  If you need help with figuring it out just ask.  I got it down pretty well.  Everything except that weird tent in the road.  No one has figured out that mystery yet.

It’s also one of my fave ghost stories.

I friggon love this movie.  I think it’s defiantly a movie you have to watch more than once and the more you see, the more you get.  I will admit, I cried like a baby at the end.  I hardly ever cry in movies, but this one hit me hard.  No one I know has been that moved, so I may be just a pussy.

I LOVE this movie!

I had never heard of it when I watched it—sat down in the middle of an early autumn day and popped it in. I was TERRIFIED. My roommate sat not five feet from me, on her computer, and I was still having paroxysms of fear. There is a very note worthy scene in Su-mi’s bedroom that scared me so bad I ended up jerking my hood over my face, completely independent of my brain. Apparently I was terrorized to the tip of my fingers, because they took over.

I think I wanna watch that again soon!

That scene f**ked me up something terrible. I almost shut the movie off.

great film, and it seemed to me to be a good version of the sixth sense as it had a lot of the sme feelings and themes as that film did.  definitely a creep ass movie.

I absolutly love this movie!!! It’s the best “J-Horror” I have seen and I have seen quite a few (I know it’s not Japanese, but it falls under that familiar title).

If you’re stuck on anything I recomend the IMDb page - I know it’s IMDb, but there was something I found on there that made things a lot clearer after I had seen this movie.

I think this is the link - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365376/board/thread/69288079

Movies like this and Ginger Snaps have a special place in my heart (what does it tell you about my heart that I would say this about horror movies) because they involved sisters who are very close. I have such a relationship with my own sister and so I always feel more involved with a movie that shows it and well.

It’s a very well made movie and if you only see one “J-Horror” it should be this one! It’s a bit of a mind f**k too!

FYI the bag in the road thing is some kind of tradition in Korea or so I have read.

I know what you mean.  I don’t even have a sister, but I imagine this movie would get to me even more if I did.  I always wanted a sister though so movies with a good sister bound hit a little harder.

Not only is the movie incredibly effective and spooky, but it’s also one of the best shot movies I’ve ever seen. It’s beautiful to look at.
