I recently started reading this and it rules.
Comics with Zombies that aren’t Walking Dead really don’t do anything for me but The Goon really hits the right spot.

The Goon is brilliant.  The art work is great and the comic is damn funny.  I love this series.  I have the first two trades and am going to eventually get the rest.

This is one of the coolest series out htere and its no suprise Eric Powell has won several Eisner awards for The Goon! I have read and re-read the entire series and i love the book! Chinatown is superb but…... For the shit your pants, funny, laugh out loud moment get The Goon: Satans Sodomy Baby,.....Oh my God you will love it!

I need to give it another try.

At Wizard Wolrd Chicago a couple of years ago, Powell gave me a few issues for free and even signed them. I was just walking around looking, and no one was talking to him, so he made me talk to him and self promoted like a mothersmurfer. Totally awesome guy and I spent a good 15 minutes talking to him about Hellboy (which I do believe was in one of the issues he gave me) and Hammer movies.

Sadly, I didn’t get it. I didn’t laugh. Admitedly, the artwork is great and I appreciate anyone who does it all themselves. I just didn’t find it funny. Do I need to read it in order???
