Love DeBarge, but didn’t know that he was a he until I saw The Last Dragon.  That’s phucked up.

If the C.D. guys want to review another 80s movie with an awesome soundtrack, I’d suggest Streets of Fire.  One of Walter Hills most underrated films (although come to think of it, he seems to have a lot of those).

sadly, you are correct. Walter Hill is one of my favorite directors and he never gets the acclaim he deserves.. so many good movies in his catalogue

Walter Hill is one of the most underrated directors around. Streets Of Fire is one of the great films of the 80’s, at least genre wise, and it is a shame more of Hill’s stuff isnt looked upon and held up on a pedestal because it is American film making at its finest…...this is my opinion, but any of you not familiar with Hill’s stuff outside of 48 Hours or The Warriors, check out his resume, you will not be let down I think…..although I dont think he ever used any DeBarge…...dammit Walter get on the bus…..

We need a new film from him, how about an action film starring Steve Guttenberg and his motorcycle that is like a horse he has a relationship with, not sexual, but hey what the hell, when its not running the tailpipe could suffice….anywho back on point…..he is tasked with protecting the border between Canada and the U.S. because the Canadians want to sell french fries at our Taco Bell establishments, obviously Guttenberg is a loner and he had a girl but she married a rebel Canadian Mountie and he takes it out on the local Mounties and wreaks seven kinds of hell…..this is a film that should be in production NOW!!!!!! Get Walter Hill on the phone Mr. Cherry…...

Thats for you Big Willy, hope you get a kick out of that….....

I have seen Streets of Fire approximately 1000 times. When I was a kid my step-father was a big fan of Michael Pare and so we saw a lot of Streets….

I tried to explain the premise of the movie to some friends a few weeks ago and really failed.  I fell like Criterion should put out a version.

You know, we might actually be able to get Mr. Pare on the show one of these days.  He’s been in most of Uwe Boll’s films, and since we’ve already established contact there…

Just saying, he’s been dibbsed as far as interviews go among these podcasts.

And yeah, if Criterion can put a bunch of Armageddon on DVD, then they can most assuredly find a spot in their catalogue for THE MOST NEON FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN!  And also one of the best.

I would, but I feel like it would be difficult for him to wave one of the film’s many Oscars in my face over the phone as a way of responding to that silly, silly question.

Didnt he have a mustache or something in that sequel? We all know facial hair is the way to hide from the world in the cinema domain…..that facial hair deserved an Oscar….best costume design….something…...

For the record I really think that Pare’ had a chance to be a great tough guy fim actor…....

In an eighties soundtrack war, the final would be a showdown between Murderock and Pretty in Pink.  Getting between those for a review would probably be fatal but my god it would be catchy.
