I just saw it, more out of curiosity than anything else. I’m not quite sure how to feel about it, but I think I liked it. It’s an odd film.

All I can think about when I hear the title Basket Case is “hot dogs”. I can’t remember if it was in the first film or not, but there was this scene where the normal brother feeds his freakish twin a bunch of hot dogs. Another film that triggers a weird food-related memory is The Beast Within. All that comes to mind is hamburger. Uncooked hamburger mixed with Worchestershire sauce dropped to the tiled kitchen floor of one of the beast’s victims.

Do you remember the father’s ridiculous death scene?

Funny that movie should be arriving via NetFlix tomorrow. I’ve seen wayyyyy more than my share of horror flicks but somehow this has eluded me.  I’ll try and remember to post my thoughts if the movie doesn’t instill a need to become inebriated.

You know what? The more I think about it, the more I realize how much I liked Basket Case.

The main thing I remember from this movie (and it’s been about 6 years) is the deformed brother poking the normal brother’s sleeping girlfriend in the boob with one weird finger….and moaning. I couldn’t stop laughing and being disturbed at the same time.
