Beef, if you’re not joking, I will kill you.  Unless you mean that it reminds you of the Clockers poster because Spike Lee and I both ripped it off from Saul Bass’ design on the Anatomy of a Murder poster.

Yeah, but he’s also the guy who thought that Hitchcock directed Charade, so I don’t know what to think sometimes.

I am so disappointed.

I get easily confused! That was before I was knowledged in all things Hitchcock like I am now (this being a year or two ago when I merely knew the “major” Hitchcock films). I wasn’t joking so much as I wasn’t sure where’d I’d seen it before, and in my search to find what you guys were ripping off stumbled upon Clockers before Anatomy of a Murder. It was a mistake and a lapse in film knowledge. Apologies to Otto Preminger and Saul Bass and to anyone else involved in the making of the Anatomy of a Murder poster.

I’m going to forgive you for this oversight. It is a bit of obscure information - not like knowing who Jack Lemon or Walter Matthau are. One of my very young colleagues at the office was unfamiliar with either of them. Even Grumpy Old Men!

Such a lack of knowledge - I’ve banned the youngster from Happy Hour.

I honestly thought you were smurfin with me.  Either way, I’m glad it’s settled now and we can post the far nerdier, just as awesome Dark Knight poster.

The Clockers poster was a total rip off of the amazing Saul Bass poster.  He did some great movie posters.  While I like the design, I don’t know it fits the feel of your show.
