I am interested to know if anyone knows if there is anything like a Zombie tv show? I have been thinking recently that it would be great if somebody created a zombie tv show, something will the sophistocation of the sopranos but based around zombies, do you think there would be a market for something like that? what you do think? If you were to create a zombie Tv show how would you like it to play out?

I would definitely recommend http://www.zombiehuntershow.com/.  We reviewed the first episode awhile back on the show, and we’ll be covering Episodes 2 & 3 here soon . . . !

Glad to have you aboard!  It’s great that you’re listening to the earlier episodes, but we got a LOT better as we went along, especially once Bren became a regular part of the show . . .

As for answering earlier ZATs - feel free to send in your answers anyway!  Or talk about them here in the forum!

I would love to see Zombie Hunters get more exposure, so I hope you dig it!

Check out this website as well.  I can’t remember if Brother D mentioned it on a podcast, but somehow I found it:

Not sure how long they will continue to post, sounds like they have financing problems.

I think a zombie type miniseries made by the right people would be a great idea. HBO has become well-known for their shows and this would be right up their alley.

On a side note… I remember a couple of years ago that somebody was working on a zombie television series pilot. The news was on one of the big television/movie web sites but I don’t remember which one. The link even included pictures from the production. So, clearly the pilot was made but never picked up by any major network/cable channel.

I feel that an adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comic THE WALKING DEAD could be a very successful zombie-based television show, particularly because it focuses so strongly on the characters in danger rather than the zombies themselves.

There was a CBS pilot for a show last year called BABYLON FIELDS (starring Rome’s Ray Stevenson) that was zombie based, but wasn’t picked up. Here’s the summary..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babylon_Fields

Babylon Fields was a proposed television series that featured reanimated zombies as characters. Rather than being portrayed as malevolent monsters, however, the recently deceased return to their homes and attempt to pick up their lives. The pilot had elements of black comedy as well as drama.

It actually sounds a bit like that French film from a couple of years back called LES REVENANTS (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0378661/)

I watched the pilot for Babylon Fields a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it.  I thought it had potential, though it wasn’t traditional zombie fair.  Very much like Les Revenants (which is NOT a horror film, IMO).  I can see why network TV passed on it, but I would have thought it a natural for cable.

Watch it for yourself!

Coming in the Spring of 2009 on WBGN TV, Pittsgurgh will be “The Zombies”. Filmed in B&W;it will be a throwback to the series like “The Munsters” and “The Addams Family”. 13 episodes are being filmed. WBGN only broadcasts locally but I’ve been promised a website will be added where you can watch the show on streaming video.

It’s gonna be cool as hell!

I thought this show was dead, but I guess it’s back.  Trailer looks great.

I can’t find this show anywhere, nor can I find much about it.  I’d love to see it if you have any suggestions.

Thanks,

Stay tuned to the show as I plan on shedding a bit more light on the Zombie Hunters show.  As I understand it now, it’s something the creators are distributing themselves, and they have some local television distribution.

Now THIS definitely has my attention!  I’ll have to see what I can do about getting my hands on this to add to the collection (even if it does stream on their website!) - it sounds cool as hell!
