Having Elijah in a small bit part in a film I can handle, having Elijah as a star of the film in a bigger more important role….ummmm….not very optimistic…..but hey I’m a pessimist by nature…...
I really hope they get some A-list actors in it, and/or funny guys, like Mark Walburge, and the british, scottish, irish??? guy that always plays brutes, or soccor players, ??? ....
Damn my memory!
OH! OH! Nathan Fillion would be awsome as Tony (Peter Hooten’s role)!
Just read more casting news…..looks like Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, BJ Novak from the Office TV show and the newest rumor is Simon Pegg…....this cast is going in a completely different direction than I anticipated…...
yeah, I just heard the B.J Novak talk… wow.. as much as I like Novak and Pegg, I don’t see how they could pull off the gritty action that this film is going to require. Neither one has a real physical presence, and I don’t think either one is over 5’9”... this is going off the rails very quickly..
Blehh…Robin Williams…Blehh!
I’m not really into the idea of shEli being a main character in the film even though I thought his character was pretty funny in Cabin fever. I just don’t see him playing anything past the “Wink, Wink, It’s me…horror master shEli Roth in a funny little cameo!” but I guess we will see when it comes out how it is done. I am pretty excited for the Brad Pitt casting, I always thought his best stuff was when he wasnt the lead in a film, like 12 Monkeys, Kalifornia, Snatch, and Fight club. So it could be a great choice since IB is an ensemble film.
haha, to illustrate how out to lunch I am, I got UBER excited at the prospect of Klaus Kinski being in it, but then I realized that the great Kinski is no longer of this earth… oops.. With that being said, Kinski’s little girl is a good choice in my eyes(speaking of eyes, she has her Daddy’s eyes eh?)
Of course, if the original Kinski was still around I would love to see him in the film, that would be insane….his daughter has always been under utilized in the film world. She does have her Daddy’s eyes a little, but if you ever read Klaus Kinski’s autobiography you’ll find that even he found his daughter very attractive….ewwwww….Kinski was a MADMAN…..
Hate to say it, I think Tarantino’s done.
I think his time was the 90’s, like how John Carpenter owned the 80’s.
First three films are some of the elite of the 90’s.
But QT choose to make a movie every ten years and he lost it.
Kill Bill is such a rip off.
Death Proof is dull.
The casting for Inglorious Bastards was amazing at one point.
Now we got Eli Roth
Eli Roth is like Kobe Tai on a cock.
He sucks.

All QT does is make fan film dedications to the movies he loves. That’s it. That’s all he has ever done. Why did that suddenly bother everyone when Kill Bill hit? Is it because 70s martial arts films get more replay than 70s crime films? Apart from the dialogue, nothing about QT’s films has ever struck me as amazingly original. I love the guy, but only because he puts so much care into his films, which is a rare thing, these days. He looks at every detail and nothing in his films is there by chance. That is what makes him great.
As for Bastards, I will see it. He hasn’t really let me down, yet (opening monologue to Kill Bill 2 notwithstanding). I don’t care who he casts because the dude has a way of pulling amazing performances out of horrible actors. Pulp Fiction is pretty much the best thing John Trovolta has ever done, as far as I am concerned. Truth be told, I like Roth better as an actor than a director, so if this pulls him into the limelight as an actor and gets him to stop remaking Hostel, so much the better for everyone.
