Would you be unhappy if NOTLP did an episode devoted to Disney Villians?
No. I fart fairy dust and own The Little Mermaid bath toys. Bring it on! 14
Yes. I hate magic and joy. I will never listen to NOTLP again if this happens. 2

Hate to lose any cred myself, but I’ve been on a Disney kick myself lately, and I would NOT be opposed to a Disney-themed episode . . .

. . . but I would suggest that y’all stay away from the more recent in-the-past-10-years films.  The reason I say this is because most of us already know who these villains are.  We’ve already had them shoved down our throat, so why not go back and look at some of the villains from the earlier films?

The Black Cauldron was already suggested - I LOVE this film!  (It’s based on a series of fantasy novels that pretty much introduced me to the fantasy genre, so I’m biased.)  But there are plenty of others to choose from, you know?

(Although, and I pretty much just said I was bored with the more recent Disney-fare, it’d be interesting to hear the gangs take on the villain from Disney’s Hunchback… . . . dude was creepy and was singing about hellfire and sinful flesh . . . !)

Ah The Black Cauldron! I loved me some Lloyd Alexander back in my youth. I cried several times reading the last volume of the Prydain series.

I would totally be down for a Disney villain show. My personal favorite would be the under-water drag queen known as Ursula but that’s neither here nor there. Also Madam Medusa from The Rescuers is a gem.

Speaking of Return to Oz, I watched that movie last weekend for the first time in ages. HOLY SHRIEKING CRAP that movie is messed up!!!! I mean, they almost give Dorothy electro-shock therapy! Headless Mombie!!!!! They could never get away with that today.

Cruella DeVille for the win with Maleficent at a close second.

I gonna have to disagree with you here buddy. Maleficent is the bitchiest bitch ever! She cursed a baby to death because she wasn’t invited to a party! How petty is that? This speaks to the inner c#?t in all of us. Cruella DeVille was mean but she just wanted to look nice. And who doesn’t want to look nice?

wait wait.. you’re saying that an evil witch is worse for retaliating after being publicly snubbed?

No one did ANYTHING to Cruella DeVille, she just wanted to commit unprovoked puppycide to look good!

I stand by my statement.

The first movie I ever saw in a theater was Sleeping Beauty when I was around like five. I have vivid memories of going to the movies with my neighbors who have no idea how much they traumatized me.

Maleficent was so terrifying - dude she turned into a giant dragon! - that I had nightmares for like a week after!

I’m not sure if Cruella meets up to the quality of terror that Maleficent invoked. Cruella might just burn you with cigarettes, but ol’ Maleficent would saute you with dragon breath.

I like how all Disney villains look like drag queens.

I’m overjoyed that everyone (for the most part) is on board for a Disney show. I’m loving the suggestions for older films I haven’t seen in years or at all. Fun!

Fun fact: my Grandpa took me to see Song of the South (theater in NJ was playing it for a kids classics thing) when I was a little girl. Now that’s effing scary. Makes it hard to really enjoy Splash Mountain.

Fav Disney villians,

1) Demon from “Fantasia”
2) Oogie Boogie “Nighmare Before Christmas”
3) Malificent “Sleeping Beauty”
4) Horned King from “Black Cauldron” (Gurgi, is the best, how can you not love Gurgi)
5) MCP “Tron”

I’m down for a disney horror ep, with “Something Wicked This Way Comes”, “Watcher In The Woods”, and “Return To Oz” maybe throw in disney’s “Huntchback Of Notre Dame” and “Legend Of Sleepy Hollow” for animated ideas…

Funny, my grandfather took me to see song of the south when I was little too, although my trip was probably about 10 years earlier than yours. The villian in that movie was slavery.
