Hey MOZ Family,

I was just wondering where eveyone is from.  Seeing as how I am going to be attending my first convention in the next month or so, I would like to know who is around me to see if they would be interested in hanging out while I am there.

I will get everyone started…

Slug is from the Kansas City area in Missouri (Dead center in the country, pretty much)

Slug the loveable lug of a mug (listen to Horror Etc. episode 48 to understand that)

I currently live in Keller, TX and practice in Bedford, TX all in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
I did my residency at KUMC and lived in KCMO but worked in KCKS.  Lived in the Ward Parkway area near the Plaza.
Loved KC but it was too smurfin cold.

I’ve spent my life (sad, isn’t it?) living in Queens, NY; one of the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Awesome!!!  Keep the responses coming.

Hey Doctor, how long were you in KC?  I have lived around here my whole life.  I am specifically in Greenwood, MO currently.

We should get a map going with pushpins or something.

Hey Miss Bren!!!  Good to see you on here.  This thread is the first time I have been on here in a while, so I was happy to see you post on it. (I am new to the whole forum thing and I don’t get much time to be on them).

I love your profile picture with the Zombie Survival Guide.  I can’t seem to figure out how to get a pic uploaded for my profile on here, so if any one can give me some tips on that on top of giving your location, that would awesome.

Again, everyone keep the locations coming!!!

I was in KC in the early 90’s.  I miss Kaufmann stadium, The Plaza, Minski’s Pizza, Gates BBQ, and Stroud’s but I don’t miss the damn Chief’s fans.

Was living in Aberdeen, Washington for the past three years (think of a Northwest version of Innsmouth), but now I’m back lurking in the shadows of Portland, OR.

Hey Mike from Cadaver Lab!!!  Everyone, check out Cadaver Lab Podcast if you haven’t already.  I love the show, they are great guys and do a great podcast.  Plus they have played a promo I made for my guitar shop called Tattooed Guitars, so that makes them extra awesome.

Check us out at:

Also, The Doctor, how can you not mention Arthur Bryant’s?!?!  I prefer it to Gates any day.  In case anyone doesn’t know, KC is a huge BBQ town.  It is a good thing I am not a Chief’s fan, I am not even a sports fan actually.  I just can’t imagine myself being away from KC, it is my home and I always seem to come back to it.

Keep the responses coming everyone!!!  Let’s see how big the MOZ family really is.

That was the argument.  Gates vs. Bryants vs. KC Materpiece vs.  Smokestack I think.  Others thrown in.  I liked Gates sauce better.  “May I Help You!!!!!!!!!”
