I keep spending time in places that are way to dangerous in the event of a zombie uprising. Grew up on Long Island (which would just be cut off from the rest of the country and eventually bombed), lived in NYC (no chance), South Korea (too many people and not enough space for a chance to escape) and Moscow (where I would spend rush hours up the subway escalators realizing how doomed I was should the person behind me decide to eat my brains). I’m currently job-hunting in NY and starting to think I should just find a career based on survival stats.
I was in Moscow from last November to August, teaching English and not learning enough Russian. How about you?
Ah, and one thing I forgot about why Moscow is such a dangerous place: Lenin remains on display in Red Square. Which means four days a week, thousands of tourists visit an embalmed former world leader and could, if fast enough to beat the stern militsia, could theoretically awaken a very well-preserved corpse. The possibilities SO warrant a film treatment.
It has been 20 years now since I was in Moscow. I remember Lenin’s tomb, and the guards inside slapping someone’s hand down as they raised it to scratch their face. I also remember the, “trade money?” pleas I would get from people as I walked down the street. Your right; not a good place to be in an outbreak. I miss the old Soviets. Anyway, glad you’re on the posts.
Wow an international crowd, lol. Well i was born in Middletown Ohio, lived in Carlisle Ohio most of my life but spent alot of my summers at my dads house in Van Nuys california, ..but i now am living in Nottingham England, lol.
Moscow doesn’t sound like it’s changed that much, although the militsia members now look to be, on average, 15 years old. You still don’t want to mess with the babushkas though.
Hi everyone. I am the silent member of MOZ. ‘Been there from the beginning, called once - but listen to every single show and love it. I am east coast born and bred (Connecticut), currently living in Minneapolis and soon to be moving to Guangzhou China.
