Jeremy and Erik talk about working for a dashed retirement plan, flirting with retirees, labor unions, living in a fast food world, government bailouts, a possible socialized revolution, Side Effects, the Monsters Inc Enron connection, How the West was Fun, Mary Poppins, Do What You Like Day, and Pumpkins.
TFICast 50: Por el Amor de Dios
Jeremy and Erik mangle the title repeatedly and excessively, talk about similarities between GTA: Vice City and real life, the evolution of drug advertisements, extend a forgotten TFICast birthday shout-out to a long standing fan, death a work, dissect certain types of conversation, war on the social conscience, yokels killing ducks and deer with snowmobiles, and finish with justifiable vigilantism.
Hey guys. When I read the description for the my episode I was worried that you thought you had forgotten my birthday, which isn’t anywhere now. I thoughtm I’d have to listen to you singing me happy birthday in total embarrasement.
Thankfully, you got what I meant by Happy Birthday in the message title.
God, I sound like an ass without emoticons. :red:
My favourite stations on Vice City is the Love station with Fernando Martinez, and VCPR.

It did take me a read or two before I understood the context of the note. Then I had to listen to the end of 48 to verify the meaning. Then I laughed and decided we would give you a bigger shout-out. Erik came up with the singing, I just followed along.

Yeah Fernando is good. I liked him in the original GTA III when he was a guest on the Lazlo show.
Speaking of GTA, GTA IV just doesn’t feel as engaging as III or Vice City. Same with San Andreas. Anyone else?

Seconded! There was a lot of crap to do, and I mean crap! There was way too many things badgering you to keep up with them.
I just stopped playing after my flatmate over took my save spot. I kept seeing cut sequences I didn’t want to and since he plays games nearly 24/7, by the time the game was finished, I had given up on the game. I might play it again in some time, because I did enjoy the first ten or so hours I put into it, but it was no Vice City. The only GTA game that I actually finished 100%.
Yeah I actually rented Saints Row 2 (PS3) last week I really enjoyed it I love the customization factor of the game… I might rent it again next week.
P.S. Get ready to have your tongues twisted guys desensitization in spanish is desensibilizacion. Hehehe I actually had trouble pronouncing that myself. Good Luck :P !
P.P.S. Loved the episode laughed a lot at work. Thanks!
Jeremy and Erik talk about deception, desensitization, seeqpod, drunken Spanish priests, Valentines Day advertising, perceptions of time, Columbus lies, the winners who write history, wiped out societies, sing a song for the Internets, talk about the anti-social Facebook, cell phone etiquette, Jeremy’s distribution deal, buying new vs. fixing the old, and finish with home decor.
