That should probably read “Contest-ed,” but I’m a doer, not a think-person.

If you’ve already listened to the new show you’ll know we (i.e. you) are currently in the midst of a contest. Don’t panic.

Although many fear contests, Ancient Romans had them all the time—often to determine which of the men could oil the torso of another man faster—and also, they are beneficial.

Some of the ways in which people have erstwhile found contests to be of beneficial benefit to them is that they win stuff.

You could be benefitted.

How?

It’s simple. If you have not yet written a review of ShowShow in the iTunes store, you should do so promptly. This is your entry into the contest. If you’ve already written a review, you are already entered (again, don’t panic).

“But scholar,” you ask, “what is mine prize?”

“A free iTunes download of the Full Moon classic Puppet Master,” I chortle.

We have five (5) of these free downloads to give away, so we’ll be putting the names of everyone that enters into a hat, plucking that name from the hat and announcing them (the winners!) on ShowShow100: Anniversarying It Up.

Could it be simpler?

If the name you use in the iTunes store isn’t something that you’re sure we’ll recognize, send us an email at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)!

That’s it.

Cheers,

Miles

By the way, Puppet Master is NOT available on DVD, so if you’ve been trying to find a copy of the movie for a while now, this would be a great way to do it.

Dammit, I five-starred you too soon!

I asked the turtle his secret to longevity. He said having your head up your ass is harder to fix. While I stood perplexed the turtle demonstrated by pulling his head in and then slowly brought it out with a smile on his face. Do turtles smile?

Like I said, you’re already entered. Everyone that wrote reviews in the past are already in the running for a copy of the movie.

I haven’t watched the original Puppet Master since it first came out on VHS. That was either 8th or 9th grade.

Fangoria referred to Leech Woman as hemoglobin gobbler or somesuch. I think she was way under used for such a creepy performance. I mean how many supporting woman can cough up a leech on command?

I’m making my way through the box set pretty soon, so I’ll let you know if anyone else tries to rise to the challenge.

Also, I think more than a few people spit up slugs in Night of the Creeps and Brian released an Aylmer from the back of his neck in Brain Damage. Those sort of count…

I’m seriously considering caving in and buying the first Full Moon Pictures box set. Head of the Family looks… well, amazing.

Yeah, I mean, c’mon… Seedpeople? Shadowzone? It’s about time I caught up on my Full Moon shit.

Seriously, those are some of the best DVD covers I’ve ever seen.

EDIT: HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT THEY RELEASED PREHYSTERIA

I totally forgot about that movie… I watched it all the time when I was, like, seven. Looking back on the quality of Prehyseria, it actually makes perfect sense. God, huge nostalgia rush.
