oh, and also that i attended a live Cinema Diabolica taping/screening
I was in some sort of art center at night. There were large windows making an entire wall to my right overlooking a set of lit tennis courts outside and a giant row of snack machines embedded into the wall to my left. I was looking for Little Debbie brownies or something when I heard the CD music and F13 say hey hey HEEEEY.
I looked farther down the hall to see him, DZ and two guys I know named Jay (wearing suits) sitting around a small card table against the window with a desk light the only thing brightening the area. They were at the top of a flight of stairs leading to a dead end in the hallway.
I wandered down there to see what was going on, and started hoping that Jay 1 would be talking about Night of the Lepus. Jay 1 and Jay 2 looked annoyed that I was there.
F13 had set up this show to be a screening of an NYU film student’s project film and was going to review it as he watched it. People started gathering on the stairs around me, and the movie began on a screen that lowered from the ceiling over the card table.
There was a girl in a strange costume (like Xena Warrior Princess) and she was walking around the roof of a New York apartment building just looking at the scenery. There was an older man with a beard just watching her watch the scenery.
People started complaining that nothing was happening in the movie, and F13 was getting annoyed. These two huge women not wearing shirts came down the stairs and sat uncomfortably close to me. I was lying on my side on the stairs, and when I turned my back to them, one said to the other “Look how guarded he is. He’s totally closing up.”
Then I woke up
