Has anyone been following The Authority?  I haven’t read anything since the original series.  WHat’s happened and is the ship at the bottom of the ocean the Authority ship?  If so how did it get there or is that the mystery?

This probably qualifies as spoilers so…

I think Morrison is trying to transplant the Authority into the “real” world and is starting off with the ship crash landing on our world.  Where it goes from here is anyone’s guess.  Hopefully it’ll be a better read than the first issue.

On top of that question, I’m trying to figure out what a Ship is doing in Halo’s possession in WildCats #1.

I didn’t read Brubaker’s run on The Authority so I don’t know where he left them.

Was there a Wildcats after the Casey run of Wildcats 3.0?  That was a great series.

Brubaker reformed Rose Wild (is that her name?) from the Ellis Stormwatch series, introduced a new Doctor and aged Jenny Quantum into being a teenager.  He also brought Bendix back but, for the life of me, I can’t remember if he survived the series or not.

After Casey’s Wildcats (agree that it was a great series,) I know the team appeared in a Wildstorm mini that looked to be same old-same old stuff and they were a key player in the recent Captain Atom mini but I didn’t read either.

Richard and I disagree on this, but I don’t think that the big ship at the bottom of the ocean is the Carrier.

But if it is, then is Wildcats taking place at a different point in time?  Or is this one of the Carrier’s funny multiverse moments?

Are we sure the ship in Wildcats is the same as the one in The Authority?

There are other ships around.  One appeared in Planetary.

The ship in Planetary is a plot point. We can’t say much until next issue when that series is sadly over.

Scott’s right, of course. Shift-ships have been part of Wildstorm since Ellis started, I wouldn’t be surprised if Morrison wanted to revisit that a little. But I hope we don’t find the answer in Planetary. No offense, Scott.
