Kudos, my man.  These trailers would make an excellent compilation disc.  Can’t wait for the coverage.  Late.

Awesome, can’t wait for It Came Without Warning. Martin Landau is my daddy.
Thanks for the trailers and the heads up.

they certainly would make for a good disc.. We can’t wait to cover them. We could do a show a day all year and still not run out of stuff to cover.. We’re always like “ooh, I’d love to cover this and this and this”*wash, rinse, repeat*

My pleasure. I know it’s a REALLY long list, but we figured, why not? it takes us a while to get everything in order, and gives people a chance to yell at us or nod their head in real time.

I’m so amped to see Sammy’s reaction, and all of your guys’ reactions to the film.. It’s part of Fernando Di Leo’s “Milieu” trilogy, which is an excellent Euro-Crime trilogy and has shades of Melville throughout

Surprisingly, I’ve never seen it; I’ve meant to for YEARS, but never got around to it. I figured do this would ensure I finally see Clint take on the Matriarch of the Bluth clan

oh, and Wilson, I would’ve put Night of the Hunter on the list, but our good friends at Cinema Diabolica have mentioned in the past that they wanted to cover it at some point, so I abstained

Night of the Hunter is a great film, Mitchum at the top of his game and that is saying something for the man who starred in Out of the Past, Cape Fear, The Yakuza, Angel Face and loads of others. It is a shame that Charles Laughton did not go on and make any other films as a director.

Mind you one of my favourite Mitchum films is the Howard Hawks remake of his own Rio Bravo with John Wayne and James Caan El Dorado. Love the pairing of Wayne and Mitchum, comedy gold.

This is such a great idea BigWilly, such a great list too. For my money, Funeral Parade of Roses is the perfect way to get introduced to Japanese New Wave, please cover it.

Looking at IMDB the only Chris Mitchum film I have seen is The Last Hard Men with Heston and Coburn - though I do not remember Mitchum in it. Though Bob Mitchum’s other kid Jim Mitchum was in a few decent films - most notably in my opinion Thunder Road with his old man (playing his dad’s younger brother) I am huge fan of Thunder Road - with the theme song sung by Bob Mitchum which is a classic.
