So yeah, it’s not over.

There were some hiccups though, mainly in the form of Netflix’s waiting period for BOTH(!) of the movies we had planned for this week. As such, we turned to their Watch Instantly feature and have chosen two movies that probably couldn’t be more diametrically opposed: The Last Dragon and Charlie Varrick.

One is about black martial artists in Harlem, the other casts Walter Mathau as a career criminal on the run after a botched robbery (I think). Both, are (presumably) excellent.

Also(!): Beef returns! His college semester is over, and his last issue as editor-in-chief at The Union is in the can, which means that he has plenty of time to sit around watching and talking about movies with us again. No word yet on the whereabouts of Alan, but I fully expect a full reunion in the next couple of weeks, complete with a Top 5 and installment of The Most Dangerous Game.

Hooray!

Also, unless otherwise noted, we’ll be watching Grey Gardens and I Love Maria NEXT week. I’m thinking that’ll probably change again (they both have a pretty long waiting period), but we’ll see.

ShowShow 103 - I like to think of it in cookie-sound - was pretty good. I wonder what would happen if we put Drunk, Talky Miles in a room (with mics of course) with Deeps when he’s in one of his “I have a lot of things to say” moods. Who could outwit, outlast and outplay the other?

Would there be enough bandwidth in the world to contain such an audio file?

I love you guys and I’m always happy to listen to episodes when you’re back in your normal flow. It’s great - even if Alan comes back and tells non-sense stories.

You guys made my day at work today!
First off, I started listening to episode #100 so when episode #102 with the “joke” about quitting the show I got retardangry on you bastards! Just kidding of course, but Im really starting to love the show.
It feels more like when me and my friends talk about movies compared to OTC, GGTMC and CD who are serious and critical, which I love but sometimes, some movies are just crap and one can have just fun with them.
And when combined with some drunken ranting, Im down.
The Hets rap, best thing ever. Epic.

My pleasure!
And yeah, Cobra is the shiz! ;D

Edit; Since GGTMC reviewed The Last Dragon and I watched it right after, I recognized the actor playing Shonuff (not Shogun Beefy, sorry). He was the owner of the pizza place in the early seasons of 2 guys, 1 girl & a pizza place.
I thought about something right now, Wesley Snipes could do a cool Shonuff, like he does in Demolition Man and he can pull off the martial arts too.
Too bad he`s in jail, he he..

Oh shit! Katie’s in love with Ryan Reynolds, so she’ll flip for that.
