Hey all, I just moved into a new house and I am in the process of setting up my home theater.  I actually have a room here just for it :) not TV/computer/laundry/play room…like the old place.

What my question is,  I want to put up some framed movie posters, if you had the choice what would you choose?  I’m thinking 4 or 5 full size and then a few smaller ones as you walk down the stairs.  My wife has given me the okay to decorate how I want ;) so I’ve stared with my Walking Dead stuff on the shelves at the top of the stairs ( My trades, some books and the statue I won on ZombieReportingCenter.com thanks again to BrotherD)

So yea, posters….. 4 or 5, I was thinking both relevance of the movie and cool design of the poster.  Where do you usually get poster from?  I’ve been looking around online and being in Canada, most of the places are in the US and charge too much for shipping :(

Thanks, Jay from the Hammer.

For me, one of the most iconic zombie movie posters is easily the original Dawn of the Dead one-sheet.  For me, this is one of the must-haves.  I’m not normally someone who buys a lot of extra merchandise at cons (the few I’ve been to!) in order to get someone to sign something for me, but I did buy a reproduction of this one-sheet when I met Ken Foree at Crypticon in Seattle.

Shaun of the Dead‘s a good one, too.  Again, the images in this poster have become somewhat iconic and ingrained in zombie culture.

Return of the Living Dead and, depending on how far back you want to go, the “We Are Going to Eat You” Zombie/Zombie 2/whatever-the-hell-else-you-want-to-call-it poster might also be a good choice?

Whatever you end up doing with it, you know we’ll all want to see pictures!

Yes some pictures would be awesome!

Alas despite being a zombie fan I dislike the idea of having posters of them on my walls, this has bugged me ever since I was a kid, I just don’t like seeing (un)dead folks looking back at me! What I do have a passion for (and more to the point, what the wife allows me to have) is posters for old samurai films. I love the artwork and vibrant colours, especially films made in the Showa era (1925-1989) and I usually frame the best ones to put into my study. I found a cool flicker page that has a few examples to look at:

Zombie wise, if I could get away with it, I’d go for the Return of the Living Dead 2 and the hand on fence Land of the Dead poster. I also love this Fido poster:
