Grey Matter is also one of my faves and I had thought of that…I’m not sure though how some of the action would translate being that so much of the action is between the boy and his father. There is a great passage in that story about a sewer worker seeing a giant spider in a sewer though…shades of It many years before…
And as far as Erich Zann, again, that one might be kind of tough considering Erich Zann is a mute. I definitely appreciate any and all suggestions and please keep telling me what you’d like to hear adapted. And I’m not discounting these two, I just sort of need to collate all the ideas and then revisit all of them.

My suggestion for Zann’s gestured responses is to play some frenetic violin accompanying the narrator’s explanation. Unfortunately, nothing by Zorn or Adams is in the public domain.

True. It’s been a while since I’ve read that story. Given the way you chose to adapt Pickman’s Model, choosing the story must be pretty tough. I’ll give it some thought.
The thing that made “Pickman’s Model” perfect for adaptation is that it was one character relating a narrative to another one with descriptions of action and interaction with other characters woven into his story that lent themselves to being turned into scenes. You are right, choosing a story requires a lot of consideration.
