I really wish I could have followed along this year… I discovered some great movies through last year’s Spooktacular and had a good time watching so many different horror flicks that I probably would have never seen otherwise. A few of this year’s picks sound like movies I’d really enjoy. Little Otik is one I especially want to watch, but Night of the Demon and Black Sabbath sound good too. Looking forward to hearing about the rest of the month’s picks.
It’s also nice to know that Beef and Alan weren’t killed and fed to Katie’s dog. I’ve missed those guys.
What’s the name of the song at the end of the Dressed to Kill episode? I love it, and it sounds ridiculously familiar.
By the way, any chance of Dan guesting in the Spooktacular at some point? I’ve been listening to some of the older ones, and he’s pretty damn awesome throughout.
P.S. Paranormal Activity is really good, but Where the Wild Things Are is about a million times better. Never in my life did I ever expect to say that, but it’s true.

The song is “The Hell Of It” by Paul Williams from the Phantom of the Paradise soundtrack. It was another DePalma film so I figured it fit.
And I have no idea who’ll be on the show on any given night. We’re recording in different places, unlike last year when we did everything in Brian’s apartment, so it’s been weird.

Ah ha! That explains it.
I should have downloaded the soundtrack as soon as I saw the movie. Gonna take care of that right now, I think…
I’d like to add that I agree with Alan 100% regarding Paranormal Activity. I liked it more than he did, but the trailer really does give away everything. I didn’t find it scary at all.
Loving the Spooktacular! I feel for you guys for having to watch Strangeland, but damn it was entertaining.(the episode, not the movie itself) What’s the werewolf song played at the end of the Silver Bullet episode?

That would be “Werewolf” by Cat Power and it’s on the album You Are Free.
On Woodchipper Massacre, the only thing that was entertaining about watching this movie was that my cat tried to attack the tv during one of the nature scenes. Apparently, that part was all too real for her. It was awesome.
