I’ve been really racking my brain for a good one, but I can’t think of a single movie that would make for an interesting show that isn’t just another horror movie (I couldn’t do that to you guys). The best I got right now is Red, but it’s still kind of an ‘eh’ choice. Don’t get me wrong, I love the movie, but there’s not a whole lot to talk about… it’s super straight forward.
I’ll brainstorm something good eventually. Maybe. We’ll see.
God’s Cartoonist: The Comic Crusade of Jack Chick—saw this last year, really good.
She-ra, Secret of the Sword—seriously. I’m not being ironic. I love this.
The Make Up - Blue Is Beautiful—32 min long. It’s only on vhs, but you can watch it on youtube. James Schneider directed this. I also REALLY wanna see his lo-fi new wave sci-fi pic, 1, 2, 3 Whiteout.
How about Antichrist? Kind of an obvious pick, I guess, but I’d like to hear about it. Then again, it also seems like the sort of movie you guys would cover on a regular ShowShow anyway. So I dunno.

I’ve seen most of the movie, but the copy that is currently available to me (ahem) is dodgy at best, which is why I stopped watching before the end. If someone were to present us with a screener (ahem) then we might be able to do something with that.

Watched a bit of God’s Cartoonist this week and liked it quite a bit, although I did fall asleep before it was all over (that’s due to general fatigue more than anything). It’s so funny, because I’ve seen those tracts at school and work over the years and always wondered what sort of maniac put them together. Now I know…
I may try to get Katie to watch it too. We ARE big on the religion…hehe
I want to request Uzumaki. People and spirals=lots of fun. I also would really like to hear you guys review Survive Style 5 and The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane.

Totally agree about Secret of the Sword and Uzumaki. The latter was going to be Spooktacular pick, but I totally blanked on it.
You must watch “Smiley Face”, featuring Anna Faris.
Also, nobody has the balls to cover the greatest film of all time: “Disney’s The Black Hole”. Will Showshow be the first??
Miles doesn’t like Greg Araki that much. I like the Danny Masterson’s skullfucking stuff, but I wasn’t too thrilled with the movie in general and I love stoner flicks.

I watched a Megaupload boot of it and thought it was okay. Didn’t depress me as much as Dancer in the Dark, but the ultra-violence was mesmerizing though.

It didn’t disturb you? I’ve been hearing a lot of crazy shit about Antichrist.
A buddy of mine has been urging me to see Dancer in the Dark for at least a year.
Sequel to Class of 1984, but in a post-apocalyptic environment—sort of. Stacy Keach in a blonde mullet wig, John P. Ryan and Pam Grier as robot teachers, Malcolm Mcdowell as the principal, and the kid from Near Dark and River’s Edge. Fun little flick.
Footprints is a haunting, affecting Giallo (if you can call it that) from 1975 which has just been released on DVD. I recently watched it for the first time and it really blew me away. The ending of the film lends itself to about a half dozen interpretations and I really feel like I need to watch it again. It stars Florinda Bolkan (Flavia the Heretic), that creepy girl from Deep Red, and Klaus Kinski.
