This episode consists of me confessing to a heterosexual experience in college.  I am terribly curious about YOUR heterosexual experiences—- please post about them here.  Feel free to change names to protect the innocent.

In terms of comics, we talk about the most recent issues of X-Factor, Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters, and Midnighter.

Discuss.

When I was 16, I ate out Cathy, the captain of the girls cross country team, on my parents bed after we ate BBQ chicken and watched a porno I got from an Adam and Even catalog that I stole. I actually had my first experience with a guy when I was 15, but thought I should test the waters by getting snuggly with Cathy’s red snapper, just in case. Been gay as Easter ever since.

As for Cathy…last I heard, she’s running a feminist bookstore with her partner, who’s name may be Mel.

...and! It was great to hear Katie’s voice again! I love the new Charlie’s Angels of Brett and Linds, but do miss my sweet Lady K.

Mel as in Melissa, or Mel as in Melvin?

BTW, thanks for the v-mail T3—- we recorded footage for ep 26 today and talked about your call.  It should be posted about a week from today.

I’m pretty sure it’s Mel as in Melissa or Melanie or Melanoma or something. I wish her well.

My one and only heterosexual experience was when I was 17 with some girl I worked with at the movie theater. She really liked me and I felt bad for her so we went out. We kissed at the end of the date and that was that. The next day I told her I couldn’t go out with her anymore. Very awkward.

In the first grade, this girl that went to the same daycare as me kept licking me.  And then one day at nap time, she lifted up her skirt to show me her peach.  I saw the sign way before Ace of Base did.

So I suppose NONE of you have been reading Brubaker’s Captain America?  That issue alone is the opening salvo of what’s to come on the villian front.  with the Marvel heroes being as good and organized as they are…. what do you think will happen with the bad guys?  I am sooo looking forward to the rise of BKV’s Hood as main player.

About Jamie Maddrox, and straight people doing their duplicates…  There’s a great David Gerrold story called “The Man Who Folded Himself,” written back in the late 60s or early 70s, about a guy who inherits a belt from his recently deceased uncle (and only family), and discovers that it’s got a time machine embedded in it.  It doesn’t take him long before he’s sleeping with his 1 day older self, who tells him, “Just think of it as masturbation.”  David Gerrold (who wrote some of the old Star Trek episodes, and a lot of other books besides) is a gay man, and I’ve always thought I should thank him for his contribution to my adolescence.  He taught me the true meaning of narcissism.

I have to disagree with Brett on the new Doctor; I think he’s way hotter than the old one.  Oh, wait, you’re talking about the Authority?  Hmm, no even there, I still like the new one better.

First of all, BEST AVATAR EVER.  Second of all, thank you so much for using “peach” in that context.

I could be wrong but I think this artist for X-Factor is the same for Madrox.  They look very similar at least.

I know, Eric ... let’s both bend over and have said Muscle Daddy spank us while Katie reads aloud the latest Ex Machina trade.

/Scuse me, I need a moment.

Some random thoughts on episode 25

My closest hetero experience was with Courtney Reynolds in kindergarten.  We kissed on the lips and I got a static shock from her.

When Brett talked about Uncle Jesse and the Freedom Fighters, my first thought was Dukes of Hazzard, not Full House.

I think Peter David is a highly overrated writer.

Is there a “One Lesbian Per Podcast” limit?  Are there concerns that if Katie and Lindsay are in the same room at the same time, they’ll make eye contact, head for the nearest U-Haul and run a food co-op happily ever after?  Just curious.

I love how this podcast isn’t several hours long. Anyhoo, what heterosexual experiences? Boys have avoided me like plague my entire life. The closest one I had, was when my (gay) friend had a crush on me in middle school and we had lunch during some random weekend. He came out of the closet the next year. The next closest one was in high school when I danced with some guy from my English class because my friends have never seen me dance before. I hate dancing.

Unfortunately, I can never get an issue of Midnighter. Whenever I go to a store, it’s sold out and back issues are about five dollars each while the first issue is fifteen. Waiting for the trades is killing me.

Well, Captain America 25 was a pretty good read, but I swear, he will come back. I just know it. After Jason Todd was revived, anything can happen.

When Brett mentioned Uncle Jessie, I thought “Full House,” but I think he meant the “Dukes of Hazard” one.
