For all the queers and near queers in the Chicago area…
I got a pass from my LCS that is an invite for all to an advance screening of Hot Fuzz on Monday, March 26th at 7:30pm.
It’s at the AMC River East at 322 E. Illinois (I think it’s the one with the fancy bowling alley)
It states: Please arrive early. Seating is on first come, first served basis and is NOT guaranteed. Theatre is not responsible for seating over capacity. No admittance after screening has begun.
also, Please join film stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright for a Q&A immediatley following the screening.
I don’t know how serious they are about actually having this pass from Rogue Pictures but I got mine of course at Graham Cracker Comics on Clark St.

DID YOU GET ME A TICKET, GRRL???!!.............ssshhhiittt!!!!
I’ll have to try and get back there…I didn’t realize what it was until I got home. Val wants to go but I think she’ll have to work so you could be my date!!
As long as you put out at the end of the night tho!

Have you seen my favorite t-shirt? The one that describes me perfectly? It says:
I think I’m still laughing…well Stevie and I bolted out of our jobs early to go sit in line with a bunch a geeky guys and gals…so we fit in just great! Steve was well known hob-knobbing with Mike Norton again and of course the guys from our favorite shops were there.
The movie was [bleep]ing hilarious! I haven’t seen Shaun of the Dead for awhile and it reminded me why I loved it so much. Every bad reference to cop movies possible! It’s going to rock when it comes out!
Linnea, I for one thought the Q&A was quite entertaining…and unlike some other ones I’ve been too it actually had intelligent questions being asked for the most part. These guys are geeks just like us and boy did it show!!
Then afterward Stevie and I hung around to touch the stars! We did better than that!! We got pictures!! Go see it people…you’ll laugh your butts off!!
I’m so jealous! The film doesn’t come out until April 20th here. Poo.
And on that day, you will gather geeks from the 5 boroughs and go see this movie…hilarious! And it actually has a decent murder mystery too. Not to mention…TIMOTHY DALTON!!!
Seriously, I could only think that the best way to see this movie is actually with other fans, so CBQers…get to those theaters on opening night!
