Hope we don’t spoil it for you, Steve.

Someone mentioned that the DC timeline has Diana as part of the real world for about three years.  I get that we’re supposed to get the sense that she feels out of place but some things that happen in this issue are a bit silly.  And the people’s reaction within the story to her naiveté weren’t very realistic.

And my total dumb blond moment, coming from Oregon moving to Texas, I didn’t know how to pump my own gas. I’ve done it before but it was traumatic! Kind of like when I lost my virginity to a girl.  Just because I’ve done it before, doesn’t mean I remember where all the parts go.

Where do all the parts go?  I always end up with leftovers…

I’m not sure.  I think a credit card was involved too.

So, I go to my MySpace page and I see that I have a bulletin posting. Thinking it is Eric announcing Episode #28 is ready for download I get all a twitter. I go to the bulletin postings and instead it is from my crush- Allan Heinberg. From Allan to all of us WW fans…

WONDER WOMAN: The Rest of the Story

So, here’s the latest:

In order for DC’s AMAZONS ATTACK event to ship on schedule, DC has temporarily asked Terry and Rachel Dodson to stop working on WHO IS WONDER WOMAN?, PART 5, so they can draw and ink WONDER WOMAN #8 and #9 (scripted by Jodi Picoult). At that point, the Dodsons will return to our story, but that means, WHO IS WONDER WOMAN?, PART 5 probably won’t ship until early fall. Sad news on the scheduling front, to be sure, but—from the pages I’ve already seen—it will be more than worth the wait.

The good news is that the extraordinary Gary Frank (SUPREME POWER) is currently drawing a 14-page NEMESIS back-up story I’ve written for the issue, which recaps the secret origins of Wonder Woman, Donna Troy, Wonder Girl, Sarge Steel, and Nemesis. Like the Dodsons, Mr. Frank is a brilliant genius-person, a generous and kind collaborator, and one of my all-time favorite graphic storytellers. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work with him.

And to you, for your continued patience and support.

Back to work,

Heinberg

You can go to his MySpace page and see the bulletin yourself.

I am left with this eagerness to see what he and the Dodsons have done and some sadness that I can’t have it NOW! I will have to be patient I guess. And I want my boy Allan to get to the Young Avengers ASAP. I want more Hulking and Wiccan!

Isn’t there a way we could just go back to the Greg Rucka run which was so good?  Maybe they could do a Steve Trevor shower scene thing like in Dallas.  I’d so forgive them.
