Yeah, this is sad news as I’ve had an off-again, on-again love affair with BoP ever since the very first special (LOVE that book!!). But I think it’ll be in good hands with Sean, tho I haven’t read much by him (tho i did read the first Sentinal digest and liked it). I’m very curious about his Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane title, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.

I’ve very much loved this book under Simone’s capable hands, I think previous runs on the title were just awful. I think it takes a certain kind of writer to write women well and most male writers just don’t deliver it, they seem to turn out like the guy stole his sister’s diary, sneaked a look at the girl’s locker room and watched half an episode of Sex And The City. I mean, the new Supergirl is just appalling and Wonder Woman is in need of a decent direction, let’s hope Gail takes that over. I do have to give kudos to the writers of Ms. Marvel and Catwoman, cos they just blow my mind and get the balance between sexy, funny, tender and tough just right.

Awwwwww, man! I just started reading BoP with issue 100 and am really enjoying it. It seems like Gail’s next project is hush, hush—it had better be Wonder Woman (though, and don’t hit me, part of me wishes AH was the regular writer).

This leads me to believe I should check out the All-New Atom, since Gail’s been doing magic there, too, from what I’ve heard.

I would love for the top secret project to be Wonder Woman.  I thought I heard Jodi is only on the book for a very short run.

As for the Atom, as much as I love Gail’s stuff, I just could not get into the book.  I think I may be the only one who has been disappointed by it, because I keep hearing raves about it.

re: the Atom - you’re not the only one.  i wanted to like it but after the first 3 issues still just wasn’t feelin’ it.  though maybe it’s gotten better?

and it sounds pretty likely Gail is on Wonder Woman.  in that interview she gave about leaving BoP she hinted so strongly about WW that she all but admitted it.  I think that would rule, as that book is really in need of some consistent writing and Gail’s a good choice.  hope they keep the Dodsons on there, too!

If Gail was writing it, I might actually read it.  WW’s never been a draw for me, but I’ve been loving Gail on Welcome to Tranquility, so I’d give her a chance to talk me into WW.

Aaaaaah, Welcome to Tranquility.  So smurfin good.  I, too, just recently got into BoP so it doesn’t feel like that great a loss to me—I think when I start reading more back issues in trade form, it’s totally going to hit me.

I’m sad that Gail is leaving, because I have been on her run since the beginning.  And, Sensei and the Student is my all-time favorite BoP arc. I recommend totally for Lindsay to read that one, its soo good, and totally empowers and makes Black Canary cool.
I’d totally be up for Gail to be on Wonder Woman, and I know that she has said she has a great affinity for that character, so I’m happy to see what’s done. Maybe she’ll make up for the lateness that Heinberg brought.

Linds reported that Busiek was going to take WW over for two issues. Newsacrapa reports the following: By the time July hits, it will be time for the 11th issue of DC’s current Wonder Woman series, and its third writer to date, J. (Ninja Scroll, Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century) Torres who will take over following the departing Jodi Picoult. Calling the series home for just two issues. More at: http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=108564. Please bring Gail to WW!!! PLEASE!!!
