I’m keeping an eye on the weather. It’ll be great weather.
Just to set up expectations though. Last year it rained the night before and once in the afternoon. The year before, it was a little windy but super nice.

Well it sounds like dreams are coming true over in Dallas as Eric and Steve had dinner with Gail Simone and her husband. They spotted David Mack...I just want a tiny kick sketch from that man...I’d treasure it forever!!
And supposedly I might have a phone call from Miss Simone herself today!! I’ll probably have a mini-gasm on the phone with her....
Haven’t heard from the boys today. I’m sure they’re crazy busy! Chris, that pic is ADORABLE and I can’t wait to see all of them.

Had dinner with Gail Simone and her husband last night at the art benefit. Gail is a sweetie, and her husband is totally hilarious in the quirkiest imaginable way. Interviewed a bunch of people today including a guy named Kit Lively who has worked for Mad and Cracked, and most interestingly, one-panel comics in Hustler and other straight skin mags. Interviewed Andreyko about Manhunter and the whole gay thing, interviewed Aguirre-Sacasa about working on Spider-man amongst other things. Hung out with Eric and his partner intermittently throughout the day, got some great photos.
Best part of all: we were seated very close to the Dallas Roller Derby girls. They’re tough yet sweet, like fruit roll-ups. Awesome!
