If I remember correctly the ending was a bit ambiguous, which is on par for the series. My understanding of byrne’s reboot was that he erased everything prior to the original group, including morrison’s. I have no idea about what impact infinite crisis had on the whole thing as wiki says that Larry Trainor is again negative man, even though he became Rebis in Morrison’s run. GIven this situation someone could bring her back. I would buy every comic created by the person who brings back, but I’m doubtful.
Just in case Gail Simone reads this board. Wouldn’t it be interesting to have a transsexual woman as part of Wonder Woman’s entourage? Think of what that element can bring to the issue of gender relations within the book.
As for Manhunter. I think they already have a trans woman of a sort. :P
