ArrowInTheHead swings the HATCHET

Finally back from Labor Day vacation and what do I come home to? Not JUST a million voicemails and a giant pile of junk mail but ArrowInTheHead just posted an interview with Adam Green writer director of HATCHET. Check it out here.. http://joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=9215 ALSO, HATCHET is now open and I can't stress how important it is for everyone to go out and see it. It's a phenomenal film, deserving of our cash and if we go out in droves to it it'll grease the wheels for more films of this caliber and hopefully more films from Adam Green. so in short DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS FILM, PAY TO SEE IT BECAUSE IT MATTERS.

It’s DOOMSDAY for The DESCENT

Fangoria reports today that there WILL be a sequel to Neil Marshall's successful film "The Descent". After showing a slightly recut trailer (with a good amount more blood/beheadings) at the UK FrightFest for his upcoming film DOOMSDAY, Director Neil Marshall took the stage for a little of the ol' Q&A. In a disappointing but unfortunately all too common move, he says he won't be directing but will be executive producing and in his words "overseeing every aspect of the film". The director this time around is Jon Harris, the editor of the first film and also SNATCH, L4yer Cake, and Stardust. I don't have high hopes for this and don't think The Descent needs a sequel but only time will tell if it's a worthless slab of crap or not. This is Jon Harris' chance to prove himself as a director by either succeeding and making a worthy sequel to a phenomenal film or failing miserably and churning out another slice of shit pie to populate the already festering current horror film scene. GOOD LUCK JON

Eli Roth uncensored

I was invited to the premiere of Hostel2 and Eli Roth spoke to the crowd before the film. The following YouTube link is to a video of him saying (among other things) that Devils Rejects was better than Halloween 2. I recorded it with my cellphone from far away in a dimly lit room so the quality is obviously awful. Turn your volume up and prepare to be amazed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDLZyNiX1ns
