Basket Case 2, the sequel to Frank Hennennlotter's masterpiece is finally coming to DVD!
A brand spanking new 1.78 anamorphic transfer mastered from a high-definition transfer of the original 35mm camera negative will be released on October 30th. DVD bonuses include a New making-of short and interview with actor David Emgee.
Keeping the train rolling, Synapse are also re-pressing their long out-of-print DVD of Hennennlotter's film Brain Damage also on October 30th.
It's the same release as before so no new features or upgraded print but the original DVD was already packed to the brim with stuff and YOU don't own it so pick it up also on October 30th.

Hm.. DVDmaniacs.net gave the DVD a great review. Four stars for the video quality and Five stars for extras, what more would you want on it?

Whattya mean? The Something Weird DVD of BASKET CASE is excellent. It’s full-frame, but the movie was shot square, so you’re not losing any picture. Decent extras too, if I recall, it’s been a while since I watched it.
I though BASKET CASE 2 was a honkin’ piece’a shit, or am I thinking about CASE 3?

You’re thinking about part 3. I’m going to have to search out Basket Case then. Probably out of print for the last three years.
