Cabin Fever 2 has begun shooting in North Carolina under the helm of Ti West (The Roost) and reports say that Rider Strong and the crazy Deputy Winston (Giuseppe Andrews) will be returning.  This go ‘round the virus has broken free of the woods and will be, allegedly, moving in on a high school prom!

Alexandre Aja (High Tension) is going forward with another remake according to IESB.  This time he’ll be updating the 1978 Joe Dante/Roger Corman classic Piranha.

Over at Rose McGowan’s Official Site there is supposedly a 30-minute (!) making-of on Grindhouse.  Of course when you click the link you will get a “Bandwidth Exceeded” message.  If it comes back up it is also supposed to have the faux-trailers by Eli Roth, Edgar Wright and Rob Zombie.  God, I cannot wait for this movie!

Tim Burton’s film adaptation of Sweeny Todd has evidently been put on hold by star Johnny Depp’s daughter’s illness.  According to the British tabloids he wants to stay by her side until she is better and will not act until all is well.
