End of the Line proves that even with a shoestring budget and unknown actors, one can make an amazing and genuinely scary horror film
Direct to Video horror films are a dime a dozen these days. Just about anyone with two friends, some ketchup, and a camcorder can make a film that could easily be released on DVD. I’m just going to come right out and say that these films usually suck… hard. Now I’m not trying to put anyone’s ambitions down the crapper. What I am trying to say though is, if you are going to make a movie, at-least try to make it as good as End of the Line.
End of the line is, without one ounce of doubt; one of the best horror films to be released recently (DTV and theatrical). The film follows a group normal people as they attempt to get home on the subway when all hell breaks loose (quite literally). I really don’t want to give away anything about the film. This film is truly an astonishing feat in filmmaking. Director Maurice Devereaux takes a shoestring budget and makes it feel like the end of the world. The film is filled to the brim with blood and gore, and while the acting at time feels very forced, the story is creepy and riddled with easter eggs.
End of the Line proves that even with a shoestring budget and unknown actors, one can make an amazing and genuinely scary horror film. End of the Line hits US DVD May 20th from Critical Mass. I highly recommend picking it up.

This movie goes back and forth many times with various possibilities. A must see, and see it more then once!
