John David Ebert is a cultural critic and author of “Celluloid Heroes & Mechanical Dragons: Film as the Mythology of Electronic Society” (Cybereditions, 2005) and “Twilight of the Clockwork God: Conversations on Science & Spirituality at the End of an Age” (Council Oak Books, 1999). His new book, “Death and Fame at the Speed of Light” is forthcoming.
He has worked as an editor for The Joseph Campbell Foundation and ran a bookstore in San Francisco’s North Beach. Currently, he is an editor at Semiotexte.
He runs a website with John Lobell at cinemadiscourse.com, which reviews current movies.
