Terminator 4 is coming and will start a new trilogy for the franchise.

Producer James Middleton talked to IGN about the series and said that while savior John Connor and Kate Brewster are in the script, the new trilogy will focus on a new hero. Of the character, Middleton said, “Ben-Hur was influenced by Jesus Christ, but it was his story. Much in that way, this character will be influenced by John Connor.”

The movies will follow the events of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and will be post-apocalyptic. It’s currently unknown whether Nick Stahl and Claire Danes will return.
