Keanu Reeves to star in another comic book adaption? Hopefully its better than ‘Constantine’.
Apparently Keanu Reeves is in talks to star in the upcoming Wachowski Brothers comic book adaption of ‘Plastic Man’. CHUD.com reports that producer Joel Silver recently let the news slip about Reeves being in the film, which is shooting for a late 2009 release.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I’ve never heard of ‘Plastic Man’. I check out some information on the character (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plastic_Man ) and found that he’s pretty much exactly like the Fantastic Four’s Reed Richards only lamer. Let’s hope the Wachowski’s script is better than the character’s premise sounds.

Wha...you’ve never heard of Plastic Man? During his being part of the JLA, it was decided he is one of the most powerful characters in the DC Universe. He’s like Reed Richards but crazy.

I’ve never heard of him before. Maybe I’ll have to look more into the character. Craziness and superheroes is always interesting to m. It struck me as just a Reed Richards rip-off.

Constantine is a damn good movie, it always gets stick because it’s not exactly like the comic. Keanu’s not Oscar-worthy, but he gets the job done. Even co-creator Steve Bissette liked the movie.
And dude—Plastic Man debuted in 1941 (Police Comics #1), not long after Superman and Batman, and was the original stretchy superhero. That makes Reed Richards the rip-off, not Plas.
