Maguire Brands Robots Too

With the success of Transformers and the smurfin up Voltron on its way, Tobey “I’m So Emo, I’m Becoming Evil” Maguire has decided to dip his toes in the giantrobotliveactionmovie genre with a film version of Robotech, which was one of my first anime series as a child and, along with the five lions, endeared me to big robots.

Maguire will be producing said flick and will likely star. Some say it will be as Roy Fokker, but I bet he thinks of himself as a Rick Hunter type. Jake Gyllenhaal would be a better Hunter. Take that smack to the face, Spidey-boy!

I swear to Jeebus on High, if Bai Ling and her Silly Putty nipples play Lynn Minmei I’m going to do a header into an empty swimming pool. Give me Ziyi Zhang or Chiaki Kuriyama.
