Dark Knight Poster Building on Fire

New Dark Knight poster’s hidden message

Newsarama, Rotten Tomatoes, and other blogs are all equally excited about the poster of The Dark Knight which hits theaters May 18.

Has anyone noticed the similarity between the imagery used in the poster and the famous scene from The Crow?  Is this on purpose, coincidence, or is setting buildings on fire in a post 9/11 world the new black?

Sometimes a flaming bird is just a flaming bird.

I understand that some people might think the image reminds then a little of 9/11 but respectfully I have to say that I didn’t think that way. It’s not like the poster is an image of a jumbo jet slamming into a building, ha ha! But, the CROW movie “bird angle”, that’s kinda stretching it…a lot!

Overall I totally love the new posters that have come out. This one with the burning logo is cool & my new favorite is the one with the Bat-Pod crashing through a window!

Don’t forget, DAREDEVIL also ripped this idea off of THE CROW.
