Return of Drop Dead…Wait a Minnit

This movie remake caught me off guard... When I heard about a remake featuring a woman and her encounter with an invisible friend who had tortured her in her youth, I thought, "Hey! Don't trample on my fond childhood memories of the lovely Phoebe Cates." Then I found out Guillermo del Toro was involved as producer. Confusion was setting in. Okay, so confusion was moved in, unpacked and already bumming beers from the fridge.

Then I saw it was a remake of a Spanish-language movie called "The Orphanage". And it was one of those serious movies. Definitely a completely different property, so... fond memories remain intact.

For now. *gives Hollywood the evil eye*
