The Fantastic Four’s favorite (?) son has returned for more holiday surprises in 5 different stories, including an alternate universe piece where turkeys run the world and have something else on the menu when they invite the rambunctious Franklin Richards to dinner this year in Franklin Richards: Happy Franksgiving! #1. As usual, Eliopoulos does a fine job of writing a bunch of kid-friendly stories that adults can enjoy as well when the offspring of Reed & Sue Richards moves too fast or tries to out think his bodyguard/babysitter robot named H.E.R.B.I.E. As a matter of fact, one of the stories deals with how fast he moves when he once again borrows an item from his dad’s lab when he gets beat in a race by a girl.
The first story, which is eluded to in a later story in this comic, is all about a boy and his pet - who isn’t a dog - and how he wants to improve his pet - which still isn’t a dog - and change him into a better pet - which still doesn’t run out to be a dog. Who needs DNA cloning when you have a device to create a giant, rampaging rodent?
There’s plenty of holiday fun for the whole family as Franklin tries not to get fried on this Franksgiving.
