Michael infiltrates a militia. He quickly finds an ally, a bomb, and a whole series of questions.
Mike infiltrates a militia this week. He is after a man named Walt Cooperton. He is leading the militia and they know he training the militia for something but they don’t have to authority to raid his compound. Mike meets some of the militia and makes enemies right away. They tell him to get back in his car and go home. They leave in hummers so Mike of course follows them. He gets captured and is tortured by a female member. After awhile Walt Cooperton shows up and begins to interigate Mike. He tells Walt he was ex military and was just looking to join. Walt lets him in. Mike and the female exchange some more unplesantries. When it gets dark Mike begins to look around the camp. He notices Walt has an office stocked with fine wine and expensive suits. Something seems off. KITT let’s Mike be known of some explosives being stored in a warehouse on the grounds. Mike checks it out but doesn’t find any. KITT thinks it must have been moved and must be a lot if there is still a chemical residue that his instruments are picking up.
Of couse Mike is found out by the female and it turns out hey she’s working for MI6 for the British Government. They both tell each other about their undercover work and it turns out Walt is watching on a monitor. They high tail it out of there in KITT. But it turns out the road is mined. KITT is in truck form and says his manuverablity would be better in regular form. He begins to transform but hits a mine. KITT is broken and Mike and the british woman run to escape the militia. They find the only way to escape is to jump a cliff into a river. They survive but are at risk for hypothermia. Of course the only way to warm themselves up is to strip off their clothes and press their bodies together. Sara back at HQ is not a fan of this idea. The next morning after KITT finally gets his systems back online he picks up Mike and the woman. They are surprised that the militia stopped looking for them. The team at HQ finds that the militia is on the move. KITT catches up to them but the big truck seperates from the main convoy heading up to a big dam. Mike jumps from KITT into the truck and is able to disarm the bomb. Back in KITT we find out that Walt Cooperton is actually a mercenary and that the dam was actually a ruse to get the local law enforcement busy so they could steal a shipment of gold at the local bank. KITT gets to the bank and the militia is arrested. Mike then wishes the british woman well and ends the night by taking Sara out for her birthday.
This show is getting really boring. It seems like every episode is the same thing. The plots don’t vary enough to give you any real sense of enjoyment or excitement. The car chases and KITT transforming are about the only things worth watching. Knight Rider has ben picked up for a whole season so we at least will be getting a full season’s worth of story. Hopefully they will do something with that.
