Parents and pretty much anyone else will find this unthinkable and unwatchable.

Impulse Pictures has released Schoolgirl Report Volume #3: What Parents Find Unthinkable.  It’s part three in a German faux-documentary series about teenagers and sexuality.  The basic premise is young teenagers discuss their sexual experience with each other.  Each story is acted out and in-between the stories are ‘candid’ interviews with people on the street that are used for context or justification of what we just saw.  The first two films were a kitschy mixture of sexploitation and male fantasy.  They were basically what you would expect from sexploitation films of the time. 

Volume 3 goes takes the premise of the first two films and then goes into a really, really, really bad place.  The first story involves a group of young kids exploring their sexuality in a youth hostel.  That’s followed by the young girl that seduces her boyfriend’s father and other by the numbers light hearted moments.  Then there are the two vicious and unnecessary rape sequences.  The first two films were silly exploitation movies that don’t exactly break the mold.  Volume three starts the same way but goes quickly downhill.

It’s not that rape fantasies aren’t common amongst people.  There is nothing wrong with that.  You can find lots of porn that plays off the fantasy.  It’s the graphic, realistic manner in which it is portrayed in Schoolgirl Report.  The first sequence has a young girl raped by three boys and when the school janitor walks in on them, he tells her to shut up about it and tells the boys to keep what happened quite.  He convinces the girl to come by his place later to talk about it where he convinces her that she is to blame and then pimps her out to local men around the town.  The narrator keeps emphasizing the girl is 14-years-old and that you shouldn’t look away from the reality of what’s happening.  The second rape is about as bad.

To add insult to injury, later in the film, a young girl (supposedly 14 or 15 but in reality probably closer to drinking age) takes her young brother (a young boy who is probably around 10 or 11) strips him down and almost engages in sex with him.  There is no sexual contact between the two but child is put into an exploitative situation and it’s enough to make you wonder how this film ever got released on DVD.  Because of these three scenes, every company that was distributing the DVD pulled their support of the film and now only one Distribution Company is still willing to release it. 

Considering this is supposed to be a fun sex romp, Schoolgirl Report Volume #3: What Parents Find Unthinkable is offensive and repulsive.  I have no problem with “shocking” films.  I’ve seen more than my fair share of them, but when you stage rape scenes and then blame the victims as either being too dumb and trusting or saying they asked for it, it just goes over a line that cannot be justified.  Add the inappropriately nude pre-teen boy and the film falls to a level that pretty much no one will enjoy.
