Belle is back with new clients, new love interests, and a new protégé.

She’s a call girl like no other; she’s smart, funny, hot and all on her own. Belle Du Jour broke from her pimp at the end of season one, and in season two she’s embracing the freedom and the money that being her own woman brings. And she has an admirer; Bambi, a call girl wannabe, finds Belle on the internet and looks to her for advice on the world of hooking. Belle takes Bambi under her wing and introduces her to Stephanie, her old madam. But Bambi isn’t tucked away so easily; she wrangles a spot in Belle’s life and becomes the vehicle for a lot of the hijinks Belle gets sucked into.

Such as, you may ask? I’ll tell you! Belle meets a handsome young nibblet named Alex (Callum Blue; you may remember him as Mason from Dead Like Me, Graham Duncan from Dirt and a few other gigs) and though she’s wary of dating while also continuing as a working girl, it is Bambi who pushes her forward - and Belle is happy she does. This love line is juicy from the get-go: she meets him while looking for a client and mistakes him for that client; they click immediately, and (no surprise here) have excellent sexual chemistry.

But what about Ben (Iddo Goldberg)? Cry the loyalists. And what about Belle’s bestest boy toy? Well, they’re still cruising the friendly territory,  but fear not, Belle\Ben shippers - this season gives good reasons to root for the couple in the making.

In the end, Belle does what she does best - is herself. And though high class hooker isn’t typically something to root for, our gal Belle pulls it off with gusto and charisma. Eight episodes isn’t much by way of a full season, but it is an excellent length for a marathon girl night with your bff’s, some girly drinks, painted toenails and maybe even pumping tons of product into your hair to make it match the frizzed up sexy ‘do of our favorite call gal. And there are some fun bonuses to giggle over - interviews with Billie Piper on her alter ego and a handful of webisodes starring Bambi (and a few others).

Good, sexy fun is the name of this game.
