Sure, it is easy to take someone down a peg for writing a review you disagree with, but could you do any better? Could ya? Now is your chance to show us.
We are looking for writers/critics/students who love watching movies and DVDs, listening to music or reading books. We are looking for intelligent, diligent, honest individuals with exceptional writing experience and superb grammar skills.
If you have samples of your work, we would love to check it out. This is a pretty laid back position for those who like writing reviews of movies they have seen (or intend to see). Each person we hire will be expected to write a review on the items they are given.
You will receive your byline right under the title of each movie you review. This byline can be linked to an in-site webpage with a biography of yourself. You will be expected to write 5 or more original reviews per month.
We don’t want you copying or simply paraphrasing other reviews from any other Web site. We want your own words, created from your own mind! :)
Each review should be no less than 300 words and no longer than 1000. The basis for each review will be an introduction of the film: Who, what, where, when, and why. Followed by a quick review/reminder of scenes, the path the film takes, specific direction, cinematography, etc. The review will conclude with your opinion on the film as a whole and specific reasons to watch (or not watch) the film.
If you are interested in the position, please email us as soon as possible with your credentials; please list reasons why you are interested and why you would be a great asset to the team. We would also like to see writing samples. If you don’t have any, pick a DVD, CD or book off your shelf and write a review of it!
We will respond to your emails in a timely matter. Position will start immediately. We have a limited number of positions available so apply today. This is a non-paid position, but we will send you items to review.
