Can She Hulk survive inside of Thanos' mind?

The green lawyer is on a court case involving Eros, brother of Thanos. He is being blamed for all of Thanos’ past crimes and is about to be sentenced when She-Hulk decides to dive into the mind of the Titan to find out what’s really going on in She Hulk #13. But can she survive as Thanos tries to keep up his mental barriers and controls her by taking him back into his past memories when she was in college and didn’t even have powers. Now she is vulnerable.

Meanwhile, her new husband, the man-wolf who is now an inch short of being a god and is called Starfox (no relation to the video game), has tracked her down and is demanding to see her. A battle ensues between he and and Thanos which She-Hulk witnesses some of the results from within Thanos’ head. It’s a battle of wits, wills and egos.

Slott’s story is compelling and somewhat fun. It takes the reader through a history of Thanos as he holds the cube, the gauntlet, etc. This, of course, brings in characters such as Thor, Warlock, and many other Marvel heroes.

Some people are tired of Greg Horn’s covers, but I think his work rocks and this cover of Thanos and She Hulk facing off is pretty cool. I can’t say I like Martinez’s interior art. For whatever reason the lines aren’t as crisp and the characters seem to be a bit droopy. It’s not bad art, but it doesn’t really make for an interesting design.

Dan Slott - Writer
Roy Allan Martinez - Pencils & Inks
Greg Horn - Cover Art

Quick fixes:
Eros is Starfox.
Man-Wolf is the Stargod.
Pencils for this issue were by Rick Burchett.
Inks for this issue were by Cliff Rathburn.

My bad on the names. Too many “Stars” combined with a rush job of reviewing for a comic that wasn’t really worth reading.

BTW, I didn’t have the She-Hulk with me when I wrote the review, so I relied on the Marvel website for info on the artist. They have Martinez doing inks & pencils. I should know better than to trust Marvel to actually have their facts straight about their own books.

Um… Does that mean we should know better than to trust a reviewer who doesn’t have his notes or the thing he’s reviewing in front of him while he’s typing up his piece?  :)

BTW, how can something be “compelling and somewhat fun”, have a cover that “rocks” and is “pretty cool” in your review, and not “really worth reading” in your comments afterwords?  Most bizarre.
