Stack$ lives and breathes hip-hop each and every day.  The 22-year old brings a fresh element to music with his shocking words and unique style.

Crazee & Confuzed is Stack$ first album. He raps about typical rap themes, including sex, the lack of money, injustice and life on the streets.  His words tend to shock as you hear them, but they ring true in so many instances that even people who dislike rap will listen.  He raps about the sublime and the ridiculous … from humorous incidents that go down in the hood to the injustices and disparities that occur every day in society.
The album features an all-star lineup of legends and new sensations, including Lil Wayne, Fat Joe, Twista, The Game, Paul Wall, MJG, 8Ball, Phyllisia, Trick Daddy, Beenie Man, Jah Cure, and Urban Mystic.
The album, a narrative of Stack$’ personal experiences, is a mix of styles, regions and eras. It’s an experience in organized disorder, which inspired the title. The first track, “Money Ova Here,” is a smooth rendition of boasting, featuring Lil’ Wayne. The follow-up single, “Whatcha Lookin’ At?” is an upbeat number directed to all haters. “I’m Addicted” is about being hooked on everything about a man.

Stack$ is all about bringing the music to the public and he does so with an facile style that will keep playing through your mind after each song is finished.  This is rap with a fresh approach because it uses musical interludes with a chorus singing an intro or bridge in the songs.

One song, “Git It, Git It,” was so repetitious that I fast forwarded to the next song.  I must admit that this song is the only one that I did not like.

If you want to hear about the hood and what happens, then this album will be right for you.  If rap is your thing, Crazee & Confuzed is the album of choice for breaking the monotony of other rap albums.
