TV: Star Wars: The Clone Wars:: 0 comments: by David Rasmussen
The conclusion of the whole “Dude, Where’s My R2 Unit!” episode as Anakin finally catches up to his R2… and then has to explain to R2 why he’s hanging around with an R3. Next week it’s a special Dr. Phil episode of Clone Wars as Anakin and R2 go into couples therapy…
Yes, at long last the whole R2 is being delivered to General Grevious ends as R2 is delivered to General Grevious on the Separtists listening post, with Anakin/Ahsoka/Rex and company not far behind. And look, this is a rare episode where it’s doubly rated PG (like episode of 6teen or Total Drama Island where you can’t go to a commercial break then come back without being told endlessly that the episode if PG). Oh, and as for backstabbers if you haven’t figured it out yet that new R3unit picked out by Obi-Wan turns out to be a bad R3 unit under the control of General Grevious—oh, right, like we didn’t see that one coming. Highlights? Well if you ever wanted to see Ahsoka get her groove on by fighting Grevious… then kinda losing to Grevious only to escape from him only to make the escape at the end and help wipe out clankers… then joy. Want to see Anakin get his groove on and kick enemy rear? Here you go. Rex kicking clanker rear? You got it.
Oh, R2 vs. R3 the grudge match? Annie/Ahsoka bonding while holding off heavy droid troopers and all this happening while the listening post plummets into the atmosphere to it’s destruction… oh, and Annie goes and saves R2 (again).
Too bad R3 turned out to be a total jerk off (if that is possible for a droid) though, after all that affection showed him by Ahsoka… speaking of horrible fates, next week… next week… there’s no nice way to say this, next week is the Jar Jar episode. Fear.
Until then one more 5 out of 5… now let’s see how next week is pulled off without the series taking a major nose diver in scoring. Enjoy.
