Rock on with some great music.
This is pop music that has a definite quality of almost mimicking The Who, Byrds, Genesis and Elton John as well as The Beatles.
Starling Electric’s genius and style can be experienced best in “Camp-Fire,” one of the songs on the 18-track album Clouded Staircase. It has a ring of The Beatles’ “Strawberry Fields” and “Penny Lane.“This brings back so many memories of 60s and 70s songs. I think “Camp-Fire” will be one of many hits off this CD. The song was used on the TV series “Veronica Mars.”
They call their home state Michigan and have performed in almost every nook and cranny of the state. They’ve opened for other performers while on tour and been covered by several newspaper and magazine synonymous with Michigan. Starling Electric calls themselves a Midwest electric company that represents everything melodic and true.
“Clouded Staircase Part 1” and “Clouded Staircase Part 2” again play on The Beatles with steady drumbeat and lead piano making the most of the pop tunes. The vocals are clear and crisp on each number they perform. The musical accompaniments further substantiate the music of the 60s and 70s.
Their songs are all originals and quite easy on the ears. Their songs will be welcome wherever they are performed. The rich quality of vocals backed by upbeat tempo accompaniment will send them quite far up the ladder of success.
This four-man group puts forth a strong ethic of proving that they are truly pop. Their songs and presentation will keep audiences enthralled and entertained. They need to be the top act on any circuit when they perform. Someone should warm up the crowd before these guys hit the stage with their music.
I can’t get some of their songs out of my head; they keep coming back and remind me of a time when things were more relaxed and laid back. A time when we didn’t worry about much and never looked at our watches.
You’ll enjoy Starling Electric as much as I did. Add it to your library.
