Forgettable giallo that offers huge amounts of nudity and a killer schlong.

Severin Films is the DVD leader in lost erotic films.  For every gem they find like Satan’s Baby Doll or Felicity, there is something like The Sister of Ursula, a throwaway giallo that has nothing offer but huge amounts of nudity.

After the death of their father, two sister decide to get away from their troubles by vacationing at a small resort.  Ursula (Barbara Magnolfi) is an extremely high-strung clairvoyant who believes she is being haunted by the ghost of her dead father thus preventing her from having any fun.  Her sister Dagmar (Stefania D-Amario) doesn’t have that problem as she’s carefree and willing to drop her clothes every time the wind blows (they must be vacationing in a wind storm).  She’s fallen for a tall, dark and handsome drug addict named Filipo (Marc Porel) but Ursula keeps getting in the way.  One by one the female patrons of the resort start dropping like flies as they are killed by a someone with a huge…well let’s just say there is some stabbing going on it but doesn’t involve a knife.

The film is pretty much set-up, killer watches some kinky sex, kills and repeats the scenario over and over again.  If it weren’t for the gimmick kill and the huge amounts of nudity, this film would be completely forgotten.  The acting is bad even for a giallo and limited story doesn’t exactly keep the audience riveted to find out who did it as the killer is fairly obvious.  Add to it the music that sounds like it was ripped directly from a bad 70’s porn and you’ve got the makings of a great camp movie but a poor excuse of a giallo.  Maybe there is a reason the director only did three movies.

While Severin normally releases some interesting titles, The Sister of Ursula is not one of them.  After watching the film, be sure to check out the interview with director Enzo Milioni.  It’s hard to believe that he issues some restraint and fought to keep several hardcore sex scenes out.  Milioni has lots of great stories to tell in the 30-mintues featurette and it’s as enjoyable as the film.  Fans of giallo who think they’ve seen everything will want to check this out.  It’s not a good giallo but would make for a fun night of drinking with friends who like to make fun of bad movies.
